PRESS RELEASE BY IBURST

Tuesday, 28 August 2007

GLEN ASHLEY BURSTING WITH WIRELESS BROADBAND

Glen Ashley now has access to a speedy and reliable wireless broadband technology being rolled-out nationwide.

Already available in dozens of towns and suburbs around South Africa, Glen Ashley is the latest area in KwaZulu-Natal to be covered by iBurst after the “People’s Choice Broadband Provider of the Year 2006” built a base station in the area.

The Glen Ashley base station complements existing iBurst infrastructure in the province which provides wireless Internet at true broadband speeds.

iBurst is about convenience and flexibility. No landline is required to connect to the Internet and a modem can be delivered to Glen Ashley residents within 48 hours. Subscribers can connect their wireless modems to either desktops or laptops and the process takes mere minutes.

“iBurst appeals to anyone who can’t afford to wait for ADSL to be installed in their home or office before they can surf the Internet. It also appeals to anyone who can’t afford to go grey waiting for snail-paced dial-up connections to load web pages," said Thami Mtshali, CEO of iBurst.

Narrow bandwidth like dial-up Internet is responsible for long delays when opening web pages, not to mention hours wasted downloading attachments, hours that businesses and Internet users can ill afford to lose. Broadband will let your computer show you the results you want in fractions of a second while wireless means you can connect at leisure so you’re free to do business or check email whenever the mood takes you.

iBurst is the gateway to Google, Wikipedia, Amazon.com and many more Internet resources for over 45 000 South Africans.
